The Historic Red Tiger collection honors the year 1901, when Detroit became the first city in major league sports to brand a mascot on the ball cap. This not only changed sports apparel forever, but fashion in its entirety. The original cap was black with the silhouette of a red Tiger. Ours boasts a black acrylic crown and side brim with red stitching. The back left of the hat has a gold 1901 embroidery and our signature gold hardware can be seen on our signature strap with zigzag print.
